Upasya Swarna

Upasya Swarna is a sophomore from Portland, Oregon, majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies (Government and Environmental Studies) with minors in STIA Space and Journalism. She is interested in commercial space governance, with a focus on sustainability and national security in orbit. Upasya has worked with the Space Frontier Foundation, lobbying Congress and responding to NASA RFIs. Outside of GUSI, she enjoys playing racquetball, following McLaren in Formula 1, and hiking across the Pacific Northwest.
